What are the responsibilities and job description for the YMCA Afterschool and Day Camp Program Director , Frisco position at YMCA OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS?
We are hiring a full time Leadership Position working as a Program Director for our Childcare Division (Afterschool/Day Camp) at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. In this position, you will build relationships with school administration, parents, and a team of part-time staff who lead daily activities with children, keep kids safe, and contribute to high-quality Afterschool and Day Camp programming.
The Program Director leads part-time staff in managing several afterschool sites and up to three day camps, ensuring licensing compliance and delivering outstanding service to school hosts, families, branch partners, and the community. Program Directors actively support the YMCA's fundraising efforts to ensure that every child and family has access to high-quality programs, regardless of financial ability. A Childcare Program Director will be a Leader and Role model to their team in the values aligned with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring. Directors ensure that all staff are properly onboarded, trained, and given the right resources to deliver a top-notch childcare program promoting a healthy body, mind, and spirit for our children. He/She will manage the financial responsibilities associated with Afterschool and Day Camp programs, will help actively recruit staff and promote programs and will be passionate about the cause and mission of the Y.
The Program Director will be responsible for a specific territory, having a “home office” in their corresponding territory, and is expected to be visible to their Part Time Teams in YMCA programs under their leadership. This specific Program Director will office in Frisco or McKinney, Texas and our territory will plan for growth for Fall 2024/25 sites. Mileage is reimbursed, when traveling to sites other than the home office and if the travel is further than normal mileage to home office.
This job works 9:30am-6:30pm. Some Saturdays are required throughout the year due to events and trainings.
