As well as be responsible for administrative support for the aquatic department in various roles but foremost in the capacity assigned by the Aquatic Director. Education/Experience/Training/Certifications 1-2 years of experience as a lifeguard, swim instructor, LGI, or coordinator is preferred, but not required Current American Red Cross Lifeguard license, YMCA Swim Instructor, CPR-Pro, AED, Emergency O2 and First Aid certification is required CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, AED, and Emergency Oxygen Position Benefits Paid Time Off and 10 Paid Holidays Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and AD&D Insurance Short-term/Long-term Disability and Flexible Spending Account Job Duties & Responsibilities Functions as head lifeguard and lead teacher, guarding and teaching a minimum of 25 hours per week Approximately 15 hours per week will be applied to administrative duties such as time sheets, returning phone calls and emails, and scheduling lifeguards and instructors Supports the Aquatic Director in the creation and delivery of department schedules, employee engagement activities, facility communications, management of branch activity listings in ACTIVE, and statistical reporting for aquatic programs Monitors daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local, American Red Cross and YMCA health and safety regulations as well as current ADA guidelines.
