Do you love working with kids and creating unforgettable experiences? The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is looking for a Camp Coordinator to help us lead and elevate our camp programs. This role is all about teamwork, creativity, and making a positive impact.
Starting Pay: $15/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Seasonal
Duration of Hire: Mid-May 2025 to early August 2025.
Shift Days: Monday through Friday
Shift Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm
What You'll Do:
- Plan and lead awesome camp activities that kids will love.
- Support and supervise camp counselors, ensuring a safe and fun environment.
- Communicate with parents and address their concerns with care.
- Organize schedules, manage supplies, and keep records to ensure smooth operations.
- Be a role model for YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum age of 18.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience as a camp counselor or in a leadership role; experience running camp programs is a plus!
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid (can be completed post-hire).
