We’re Hiring: Swim Instructor – YMCA of Middle TN
Do you love the water and helping others learn to swim with confidence? We’re looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our team! Starting pay is $13/hour (based on experience), and you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where participants build lifelong swimming skills.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll lead swim classes from in the water, ensuring safety, fun, and progression for all participants. With organized lesson plans, you’ll teach proper swimming techniques, encourage growth, and provide regular feedback to swimmers and parents. Plus, you’ll help keep equipment organized and contribute to a positive Y experience for every member.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum age: 16
- Strong swimming skills (intermediate level or higher)
- Lifeguard and Swim Instructor certifications preferred (we can help you get there!).
- A positive attitude, great communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
Required Certifications:
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift.
- CPR Pro/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire.
