We’re Hiring: Youth Sports Official – YMCA of Middle TN
Do you love sports and working with kids? Become a Youth Sports Official at the YMCA of Middle TN! Starting at $19/hour (based on experience), this role offers a chance to referee games, promote sportsmanship, and ensure a safe, fun environment for young athletes.
What You’ll Do:
- Officiate soccer, basketball, or flag football games while following YMCA rules.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and positive behavior on and off the field.
- Manage game flow, timing, and communicate effectively with players and coaches.
- Inspect equipment and play areas to maintain safety.
- Serve as a role model, demonstrating professionalism and sportsmanship.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum age: 16
- Knowledge of soccer, basketball, and/or flag football rules.
- Great communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Passion for youth development and creating a positive sports experience.
- Prior officiating experience is a bonus but not required.
Required Certifications:
- New Hire Orientation before your first shift.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
