What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver for YMCA After School Program position at YMCA of Middletown?
The Middletown YMCA is looking for an experienced part time van driver for our After School Program. Hours needed are 1:45PM – 4:00PM Monday- Friday with a possibility to work more hours as a counselor. Driver must possess a clean drivers license, have experience working with children and be willing to do a background and insurance check. This position coincides with the school year with the possibility to work over the summer.
Responsibilities included:
- Conducting Pre and Post Trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
- Afternoon Run would leave Liberty Street at 2:00pm to pick up student passengers and drop off at our Liberty Street location. Must be flexible to accommodate half days.
- Ensure the safety of each participant
- Clean van as necessary to maintain a professional appearance
- Maintain transportation records
- Attend and participate in any required meetings and/or trainings.
- Possibility of driving for an occasional field trip or other activity.
- Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures.
