- Ensures that practices to prevent child abuse and neglect are followed.
- Ensuring children are being signed in and out by the parents/guardian.
- Oversees the child care check in/check out procedure
- First line in handling childcare issues.
- Child Watch staff are following departmental policies and procedures
- Creating enrichment programming/activities lesson plans.
- Ensures proper conduct of all patrons in Child Watch
- Periodically conducts routine custodial functions in the absence of a building/maintenance staff member. Doing wipe downs to keep the area clean for children.
- Maintains communication with parents in order to be familiar with children and their various needs to provide quality service.
- Becomes familiar with children and their various needs and personalities in order to provide quality service.
- Reports any equipment/supply needs and maintenance concerns to Member Services.
- Ensures a clean and sanitary work environment
- Interacts with children in safe and appropriate relationship

Qualifications
- Experience working with children in various settings, including daycare and preschool environments
- Experience Babysitting and/or nanny
- Strong understanding of early childhood education and childhood development
- Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred
- Experience with special education and working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and parents
