Responsibilities:
YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake is seeking a leader to oversee our Media Specialists and capture the magical moments across resident and day camp this summer. Our Media Coordinator guides our Media Specialists in procuring thousands of photos and hundreds of videos throughout the entire summer for both our social media platforms and our galleries for camper families. This position includes capturing the first summer of resident and day camp at our location and helping create a legacy in the world of Y camping. Beyond coordinating and mentoring some of our camp’s population, our ideal candidate understands the power of community and teamwork and is eager to collaborate with and support the rest of our 100-person staff throughout the summer. We are looking for staff who have an "I've got this" mindset, who show initiative and a solution-oriented attitude.

- Supervises Media Specialists to ensure photo and video goals for each program are met on a weekly basis.
- Reports directly to the Community Engagement & Registrar Director.
- Delivers and implements feedback from the Director team, YMCA of Northern Colorado Marketing team, and camper families as needed to reach photo and video goals.
- Lives in cabin, yurt, or glamping tent accommodations.
- Oversees Waldo, our private photo platform for camper families, including media uploads.
- Utilizes Adobe Creative Cloud to curate high quality photos for social media.
- Utilizes YMCA media equipment with care and maintains inventory of all equipment.
- Oversees YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake social media platforms to ensure that outreach goals are met on a weekly basis.
- Create 10 - 90 second videos showing different aspects of camp life to be scheduled to post on social media throughout the school year after the summer has ended.
- Create staff memories via photos and videos throughout the summer.
- Maintain a professional online presence for YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake through social media and other platforms.
- Work with the YMCA of Northern Colorado Marketing team on special projects.
- Maintains camper ratio in resident and day camp as needed.
- Maintain a professional presence for YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake through appropriate staff and camper interactions and adheres to Associations and Camps codes of conduct.
- Attends all scheduled bus chaperone assignments on Check-In and Check-Out days.
- Attend all required staff meetings on time.
- Adheres to program standards and expectations including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Models’ relationship-building skills for campers and staff.
- Drives Y vehicles on and off site as needed.
- Problem solves, communicates, and documents camper behavioral issues as they arise, and passes them off to leadership staff members as needed.
- Incorporate the mission, philosophy, and 5 core values of the YMCA of Northern Colorado in all communication with participants and staff-members.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and a wide range of media equipment required.
- Experience with various social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, required.
- Must have a valid US driving license.
- Cleared to drive Y vehicles on and off site as needed.
- Completion of: Child Abuse Prevention, CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens. (We provide this as part of staff training week)
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
