Salary is $300 for the week, $1,650 toward camp programming, room and board
Brief Description: Infirmary staff stay onsite during the week of overnight camp from Sunday mid-day through camper pickup on Friday afternoon. There are typically three infirmary staff members working each session of overnight camp but one to two for a Day Camp only week. While on site infirmary staff members are responsible for dispensing all camper medications & handle camper sickness and injuries. Infirmary staff mostly deal with smaller issues like tick removal, stomach aches, headaches, rolled ankles, etc. Meals and housing for the week are provided by camp. In exchange for working at camp for the week infirmary staff are awarded money toward camp programming. Infirmary staff work closely with camp doctor and head nurse to follow best practices and doctor’s orders.
Schedule: One week during the summer: Sunday 12 pm- Friday 5 pm.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed prescriber or registered nurse
- Ability to submit your up to date certifications for First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Ability to work well with children
