After School Care Worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to promoting their well-being and development. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and care to children in various settings, ensuring their safety and fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision to children in various environments, including camps, classrooms.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and resolve conflicts among children.
• Assist with daily activities such as tutoring, sports coaching, or engaging in creative arts like theater.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children's emotional and social development.
• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare and special education.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare or special education is highly desirable.
• Skills in sports coaching, tutoring, or classroom management will be considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques to effectively support children's needs.
• Certification in First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and their families.
• A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.49 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week

Schedule:

• After school
• Monday to Friday
