POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The HR Coordinator at the YMCA of SENC maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and coordinates intermediate-level HR functions such as recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, administration, reporting, and data entry.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly Category: Part-time
Pay Rate: $15.88 - $19.85/hour based on applicable experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in recruitment by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Participate in the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing orientation and onboarding materials.
- Support the HR team in maintaining employee records and updating HR databases.
- Support the YESS Risk Management partnership, including monitoring incident reports, following up on claims, and MVR and compliance monitoring.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Help organize and coordinate training programs and events.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.
- Assist in employee relations activities, including recognition programs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects as assigned.
- Stay current with HR trends and best practices to contribute innovative ideas to the team.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous HR experience preferred.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn about various HR functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and working well within a team.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Salary : $16 - $20
