Job Title: Web and Digital Communications Specialist
This role reports to the Association Director of Marketing and focuses on developing brand awareness through social media, implementing communication strategies, and creating engaging content for various platforms.
About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled web and digital communications specialist to develop and implement association marketing campaigns across social media platforms.
- The ideal candidate will manage Google accounts, monitor reviews, and prepare online responses as needed.
- This position requires updating ongoing web content, including event listings, landing pages, and other updates regularly.
- The successful candidate will implement timely social media tactics, create performance reports, and offer counsel on acquiring new fans, followers, and influencers.
Duties:
- The web and digital communications specialist will write and review press releases and promotional copy consistent with the Y's brand for various marketing materials.
- Create long- and short-form social media messages to attract new users and engage current users.
- Support the production of promotional videos, photographs, and content for the Y's communication platforms.
- Work with third-party vendors as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, public relations, or communications is preferred.
- An in-depth understanding of social media platforms and ability to navigate each one.
- Knowledge of and experience with tools and software for sharing content across various platforms.
- The ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with Canva, Microsoft Office, and basic camera skills is preferred.
Salary:
$16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
