POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center serving more than 200,000 individuals at EPC annually. The Post Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the EPC Post Office to ensure efficiency and a high level of guest service. The manager is responsible for ensuring that all United States Postal Service policies and procedures are followed. The Post Office Manager is also responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling and managing of all staff in the Post Office to ensure efficiency and a high level of guest service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate the seasonal staff and volunteers that work in the Post Office.
- Provide all services normally offered by a contract U.S. Post Office to guests and staff of the Estes Park Center and residents of the surrounding area.
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to all U.S. Postal Service policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate postage meter, computer and to work with the YMCA’s point-of-sale system.
- Open the post office to serve guests and staff at the schedule mandated by the U.S.P.S.
- Pick up and deliver mail to the Administration Building and the Association Executive Offices.
- Must possess strong organizational skills for meeting mail processing deadlines.
- Drive to/from the Estes Park Post Office twice a day to drop off and pick up mail.
- Safeguard stamps, post office merchandise and cash in accordance with internal control guidelines.
- Make EPC and Association bank deposits on a weekly basis by driving the deposit(s) to the bank and providing any personal information as required by the Federal Government.
- Ability to transact and document sales.
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, staff and vendors.
- Maintain an awareness of best practices in contract postal management and implement as needed.
- Must converse in English face-to-face and via telephone and be able to read/write English.
- Possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
- Must be able to stand in one place for up to 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to walk distances of up to one mile.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds to a height of 4 feet.
- Possess stamina to work in the work environments described herein.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
