Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in outside sales, corporate client acquisition, or customer relationship management and/or significant sales training with certification.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems and standard office software to track and report on sales activities.
- Identify and Engage: Research and establish contact with potential corporate clients, identifying key decision-makers and developing tailored membership proposals.
- Client Meetings and Presentations: Schedule and conduct professional sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of YMCA corporate memberships.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain an active prospect pipeline, track leads, and consistently follow up to close deals.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain long-term relationships with corporate clients to ensure membership retention and satisfaction.
- Strategic Marketing Input: Recommend marketing strategies to target specific industries, regions, or demographics.
- Industry Networking: Attend industry events, chamber meetings, and community gatherings to generate leads and establish meaningful business connections.
- Reporting and Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly revenue and membership targets, and submit detailed sales reports to management.
- Professional Representation: The YMCA will be represented professionally, aligning with its mission and values, and promoting the organization’s positive image within the business community.
- Motivated Self-Starter: Ability to work independently while reporting to team leaders, prioritize tasks, and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding Communication: Exceptional oral and written communication skills for engaging with clients at all levels. Proactive in providing reports and updates to team leads and organizational leaders.
- Relationship Focused: Skilled at building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Goal-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
