Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging outdoor educational and recreational activities that align with the YMCA's core values of caring, equity, honesty, respect, and responsibility
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with participants, encouraging their participation and inclusivity
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless program delivery and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the organization
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED certification
- Lifeguard certification may be required for some positions
- Education classes or experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or in a related field
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities with all age levels
Work Conditions
- Must have physical ability to lead and participate in camp activities
- Must be capable of carrying loads of up to 50 pounds and able to traverse hilly and uneven terrain without undue exertion
