Maintenance Technician
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to repair or improve equipment performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in YMCA of Wayne County's Board Facilities Committee.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in maintenance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Customer service-oriented with good communication skills.
