What will you be responsible for?
General Ledger Maintenance
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, reconciling all general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies in all financial entries
- Assist the Comptroller with the preparation of monthly (by the 10th), quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports as assigned
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting requirements as assigned
- Support in the analysis of financial data, identifying variances, and preparing reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, including cash, receivables, payables, inventory, and fixed assets
- Review and verify the accuracy of financial documents, reports, and supporting schedules to ensure adherence to internal policies
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies
- Assist the Comptroller in implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, providing suggestions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the accounting function
- Support system enhancements and automation efforts, ensuring data accuracy and workflow improvements
- Work closely with department heads, location managers, and other team members to facilitate accurate financial data sharing and reporting
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address and resolve financial discrepancies and enhance operational performance
- Support the Comptroller with special financial projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed, contributing to overall strategic financial planning
- Assists with other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or working towards certification is a plus
- Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting, with experience in the automotive dealership industry preferred.
- Previous experience with General Motors is preferred
- 1 years of automotive dealership sales process or F&I experience is preferred.

- Base compensation, Salary/Exempt: $80k-$130k annually DOE
