What would you do? The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role plays a key part in supporting financial decision-making by analyzing sales, expenses, and operational data while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture that aligns with the organization's mission and values.

What Would You Be Responsible For

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and provide insights to leadership
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting by analyzing revenue and expense trends
  
  

General Ledger & Reconciliation

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions
• Reconcile inventory accounts, accruals, liabilities, and contingent liabilities
• Ensure the integrity of financial data by performing account reconciliations and variance analysis
  
  

Cash & Asset Management

• Oversee and maintain an effective cash management system, updating leadership on cash flow needs
• Assist with the purchasing and tracking of fixed assets, managing depreciation schedules
• Collaborate with the Finance team to evaluate and optimize financial controls
  
  

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies
• Partner with internal teams to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiencies
• Provide support for internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
  
  

Accounts Receivable & Payable Coordination

• Work closely with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams to manage outstanding receivables, including contracts in transit, factory receivables, and collections
• Approve adjustments to inventory accounts and oversee financial reconciliations
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with the Controller, CFO, and other key stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business strategy
• Effectively communicate financial policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization
• Support cross-functional teams by providing financial data and analysis for strategic decision-making
• Assist with other duties as assigned
  
  

Do you have the necessary education and experience?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting (automotive industry experience preferred)
• Experience managing multiple projects and financial functions simultaneously
