Position Overview
The Sales Manager is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving membership sales, building strong community relationships, and promoting YogaSix as the premier yoga studio in Ankeny. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Sales & Retention:
- Make 50 outbound calls daily to engage leads, schedule studio tours, and convert prospects into members.
- Manage the membership sales process from lead generation to close, achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Maintain relationships with current members to ensure retention and renewals.
- Community Outreach & Grassroots Marketing:
- Develop and execute grassroots marketing strategies to increase studio awareness and drive traffic.
- Attend and host community events, pop-ups, and promotional activities to build local partnerships and attract potential members.
- Build relationships with local businesses, gyms, and wellness organizations to create mutually beneficial B2B partnerships.
- Studio Leadership:
- Work closely with the owner and studio team to ensure sales strategies align with overall business goals.
- Train, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular performance updates to the management team.
- Customer Experience:
- Provide a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for all members and prospective clients.
- Handle member inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure satisfaction and a positive experience.
- Educate members on class offerings, retail products, and additional services to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Sales & Leadership Experience:
- 2 years of sales experience in a fitness, health, or wellness environment (experience in boutique fitness is a plus).
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing or mentoring a sales team is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a strong ability to close sales and foster long-term relationships.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Education & Tools:
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
