Accountant

Accountant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s Entertainment client located in Santa Ana, CA.

Duration: 6 months (Possibility to extend or convert)
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Schedule: On site Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $42 per hour (Max)
 
Position Summary

• This is a role with a growing consumer electronics company.

 
Key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assist with month-end close, and support various accounting functions to ensure smooth business operations.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and inventory records.
• Assist in cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Assist in sales tax filings, property tax reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Work with the operations team to track and analyze costs, expenses and variances.
• Support external audits by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting functions.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications & Skills

• 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment or consumer electronics environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Proficiency in ERP/Accounting software (Exp SAP B1 is a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Data Analysis)
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently in a small business setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 
Preferred qualifications

• The chosen candidate will be collaborative, adaptable, and brings calm and professional approach to their work.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost analysis.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or consumer electronics industry is a plus.
• Working towards CPA or has an interest in obtaining CPA is highly preferred.

 
Additional Notes:

• 6 month contract – possibility to convert or convert to full time.
• Jr level candidates are okay 5-7 yrs of experience.
• Needs to have experience using a large ERP system.
• SAP is used currently, If the candidate has Netsuite, or Oracle that is acceptable.
