Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist
Direct Hire
Salary (depending on experience) $65,000 - $75,000K per year
100% Onsite, Burrillville, RI
Candidates must have a background in consumer goods (retail grocery, clubs and / or Walmart) with distribution knowledge.
Summary : We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist with 5 7 years’ experience with collections and deductions.
Candidates should exhibit professionalism, intellectual curiosity, determination, and a positive attitude. Possess excellent communication skills, the ability to be flexible along with strong multi-tasking skills.
Other Experience required :
- Proven experience as Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Deductions Specialist or similar role for a Consumer Goods company with multiple channels of distribution including Retail Grocery, Clubs, and Walmart.
- Knowledge of billing procedures, collections, and deductions management techniques.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, ERP databases, and Excel skills to include pivot tables.
- Comfortable working in a results-oriented environment with weekly targets and goals.
- Patience and ability to manage stress and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Positive team player and collaborator.
- Monitor receivables to identify and target outstanding debts for accelerated collections
- Investigate historical data overdue accounts and tailor strategies accordingly.
- Contact customers to inquire about overdue payments while maintaining strong relations.
- Process payments and cash application.
- Resolve billing, pricing, and deduction issues in a timely manner.
- Update Finance and Accounting teammates weekly with account status, collection efforts, and processing of deductions.
Education and Experience :
An accounting certification, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree will be considered
5 7 years’ experience with mid-size or larger manufacturing / consumer goods
Estimated Min Rate : $52.50
Estimated Max Rate : $75.00
