- 3-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist within a Manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Pre-employment screenings required
What You Will Be Doing
- Handles employee relations counseling and general employee questions or assistance on benefits or other HR related topics
- Conducts exit interview process and participates in onboarding of new employees
- Participates in hiring and recruitment efforts, including setting up new hire requisitions, screening hourly candidates, ordering/tracking due diligence, and hiring in HRIS system.
- Maintains human resource information system records including personal data, org charts, compensation, etc. and compiles reports from the database as requested by management, audits, etc.
- Maintains affirmative action program and other legal compliance reports as requested by corporate team
- Assists with closing out pensions and other benefit related matters
- Talent acquisition - Participates in job fairs and other company sponsored events to attract talent
- Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings, trainings from legal team and seminars to stay current on HR regulatory compliance
- Assists in the development, implementation and training of personnel policies and procedures; assists in disciplinary action and helps to maintains the employee handbook
- Analyze data on employee engagement and exits/attrition to assist in developing strategies to help improve engagement and retention
- Familiar with job architecture, pay banding, performance management, merit and other corporate HR processes
- Manages, prepares and posts internal communications for bulletin boards
- Assists to provide HR related trainings to employees, supervisors and/or management team
- HRIS reporting KPI metrics
- A bachelor's degree and three to five years of HR experience; or a master's degree in HR management and two years of experience in the HR field; or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise, and create solutions.
- Ability to respond positively to feedback, and implement change in process and procedures as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask
- Dependable, well organized and strong time management skills
- Strong ethics and interpersonal skills
- Strong HR generalist knowledge and familiarity with all areas of HR
- The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
- Stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, twist, reach, climb and will be exposed to repeitive motions
- Exposure to heat/humidity & cold, loud noises
- Dust or vapors within OSHA limits consistently
