We have a contract opportunity for an Inspection Technician in Irvine CA. This position is approved for 18 months and could be extended.
Pay Rate: $23.51/Hr. to $24.65/Hr.

Works in the areas of inspection or quality test of products within the surgical instrumentation and quality organization. The Tech will perform quality inspections to standard AQLs. Tasks will typically be interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance to qualify parts into stock locations.

Responsibilities
- Perform Partial or full FAIR inspection of Machine, casting, Sheet Metal and plastic components using precision measurement tools such as CMM, Optical Gaging system, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges.
- Interpret engineering drawings with knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Determine the appropriate methods of inspection for new and complex parts.
- Operate or programming CMMs using Pcdmis or Caypso.
- Create and maintain detailed inspection reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Document Non-Conformance Reports.
- Utilize Excel and other Office tools for data analysis, reporting, and trend monitoring.
- Proactively communicate inspection findings and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Operate CMM equipment (e.g., loading parts, running existing programs, interpreting results) as needed. Training will be provided.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands-on electromechanical testing preferred within a medical device industry.
- Experience using CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers and Calipers.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections
