Job Title: Consultant for SWIFT Messaging Upgrades
Location: Hybrid
Contract Duration: Until 11/14/2025 (Possible extension)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Consultant for SWIFT Messaging Upgrades to support an upcoming project. This role involves implementing necessary changes to comply with the ISO 20022 global payment messaging standard, adopted by SWIFT and over 10,000 financial institutions worldwide. The project includes converting legacy message types (HMI, SPG-XML, MT) to the new SWIFT ISO 20022 format and vice-versa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and apply ISO 20022 message standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test new SWIFT messages.
• Analyze and compare existing and new SWIFT messages to ensure accuracy and identify gaps.
• Partner with custodian banks to test new SWIFT messages.
• Implement changes to the payments process.
• Test process changes and verify correct functionality.
• Coordinate with paying banks to schedule updates for change implementation.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5 years of operational experience.
• 3 years of experience with SWIFT messaging.
• Experience in processing payments.
• Prior experience in financial institutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with similar projects.

Soft Skills:

• Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Self-starter with initiative, able to handle ambiguity, and detail-oriented.
• Highly organized and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building with clients.

Education:

• Post-secondary education in a related field.

Interview Process:

• One-step video call with the hiring manager (60 minutes).
