Estate Planning Attorney
Location : Central NJ
Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
Description :
Multiple openings in the Financial / Wealth planning business. No experience needed in the financial industry, but would be a plus. Will be a part of a team along with financial planners, who are seeking to create new clients, deliver great financial planning with excellent legal advice, guidance services as a part of the long-term plans. Current estate attorneys will help train if needed. You will be a key part of education, protecting clients on the legal, tax, retirement issues that come with a diversified long-term financial plan.
Target clients :
Individuals, families and small businesses with investments of $800K to $3M in a long-term financial plan for growth and security over time.
Qualifications :
- Licensed in NJ with 1 years of legal experience preferably in estate / tax planning but not a must.
- Learn to be able to present and draft revocable and irrevocable trust
- Primary areas include estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals and families, estate administration, income tax, transfer tax and charitable planning, as well as pass-through entity (LLCs and LPs) and business succession planning.
- No book of business required.
- Experience and expertise in Federal and New Jersey tax law required.
- Licensed in New Jersey.
- Solid work ethic and ambitious in a team context - not at expense of team.
- Problem-solving manner, ability to work with variety of personalities and under pressure.
- Team orientated, including experience working in groups (with lawyers, paralegals, as well as clients).
- Client service orientation and high touch responsiveness expected.
- Financial background pertinent to client base and transactions necessary.
- Proficiency with technology - ideally, self-sufficient in generation of routine work product.
