Job Summary
As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes in a professional kitchen setting. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation will contribute to a memorable dining experience for our customers.
Duties
- Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new sushi dishes and menus
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients as needed
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Experience in menu planning, culinary arts, and fine dining establishments is a plus
