Service Technician

This position involves being a service technician in International Falls, MN as part of a local Solenis team. In this position the employee will be trained to conduct lab testing, repair and install chemical feed equipment, input numbers into excel, inventory control, chemical transfers, and maintain a positive customer (mill personnel) relationship.

The service technician will have the following responsibilities:

• The primary resource who performs routine equipment monitoring and service
• Completing routine lab testing at the customer site
• Identifies any safety issues with our applications and institutes repairs/improvements for safety
• Specs out, sets up, maintains, and troubleshoots any new feed equipment
• Interfaces with the customer to understand any issues relating to our programs
• Documents routine inventory counts at the customer site
• Adjusts chemical systems to meet designed chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring
• Alerts the site manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues
• Inventories and orders spare parts
• Maintains the preventative maintenance program of Solenis equipment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work in an industrial environment: short term exposure to hot and cold areas, industrial noise wearing ear protection (ear plugs), etc.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Plumbing/mechanical/electrical skills. Knowledge and ability in at least one these areas. On the job training will be conducted.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) is preferred, but can be trained on the job.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills. There will be team support to help.
• High safety awareness- Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner. Team player.
