Position Summary:
The Front of House (FOH) Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and event spaces of Yolo Fliers Club. This role ensures a high level of service, member satisfaction, and operational efficiency while maintaining the club’s standards of hospitality and excellence. The FOH Manager will lead and develop the service team, coordinate with the culinary and events teams, and ensure seamless dining and event experiences for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Service & Member Experience
- Deliver an exceptional dining and event experience for club members and guests.
- Maintain high service standards through hands-on leadership and staff training.
- Handle member inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Develop and implement service policies and procedures to enhance member satisfaction.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and event spaces.
- Ensure all FOH areas are clean, well-organized, and properly set up before service.
- Monitor service flow and address any issues promptly.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to coordinate menus, timing, and execution.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
- Step in and assist in all areas when needed.
Staff Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise FOH staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
- Create staff schedules and manage labor costs while maintaining service quality.
- Conduct ongoing training to improve service skills, menu knowledge, and hospitality standards.
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Event Coordination
- Manage advertising and communication efforts to promote events, increase member engagement, and enhance the club’s brand presence in the community.
- Oversee the planning and execution of private events, banquets, and club functions.
- Ensure seamless event setup, service, and breakdown in coordination with the Events Coordinator.
- Maintain clear communication with members and event hosts to meet and where possible exceed expectations.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor FOH budget, control costs, and optimize revenue opportunities.
- Manage inventory of beverages, service supplies, and FOH equipment.
- Conduct regular reports on sales, labor, and member satisfaction.
- Work with the club’s management team to develop promotions and specials.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in fine dining, private clubs, or high-end hospitality.
- Three (3) letters of recommendation for previous job experience in the field.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service standards.
- Strong understanding of food cost and labor targets needed to succeed.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and mentor staff to maintain a high level of service.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and hospitality trends.
- Understanding of wine, cocktails, and food pairing is a plus.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
