Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Property Management Assistant to join our team. The Property Management Assistant will provide administrative support to the property management department and assist in the day-to-day operations of our properties. Responsibilities:
- Assist with tenant relations, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate lease agreements, renewals, and move-ins/move-outs
- Maintain accurate and organized tenant files and records
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and identify maintenance needs
- Assist with rent collection and delinquency management
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests with vendors and contractors
- Assist in marketing efforts, including creating property listings and conducting property showings
- Perform data entry tasks to update property management software systems
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Requirements:
- Previous experience in real estate administrative or property management role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of Section 8 and LIHTC programs is a plus
- Ability to handle conflict management situations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with property management software systems is a plus
- Knowledge of sales contracts and real estate law is beneficial
