Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EMG Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience in emergency medicine settings such as Level I or Level II Trauma Centers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electromyography tests and interpret results to assist in diagnosing neuromuscular conditions.
- Monitor and record vital signs throughout the testing process.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, findings, and patient interactions.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to explain procedures to patients effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Provide support during diagnostic evaluations, including CT scans when necessary.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to neurology and emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and interpretation.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
- Understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to EMG testing.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
- Previous experience in diagnostic evaluation or related fields is an advantage.
