- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials facilitating active learning.
- Along with students, create an inclusive and inviting learning environment in the classroom and throughout the Lower School.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Support student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Observe, evaluate, and provide feedback on student performance and development.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide differentiated instruction and materials as needed.
- Participate in school and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, parents, colleagues, and administration regarding student progress and student needs.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Bachelor's degree with a major in elementary education
- Master's degree with a major in elementary education or early childhood is preferred
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience preferred
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to professional growth and personal development
- Experience with differentiated instruction and appreciation of each child as an individual with diverse needs
- Experience integrating technology and applying 21st-century learning within the classroom
- Knowledge of and experience with STEAM/STEM learning experiences for students
- Along with students, create an inclusive and inviting learning environment in the classroom and throughout the Lower School.
