Responsible for a variety of professional level duties in the Human Resources Department to support to County departments in various human resources functional areas pertaining to recruitment, training, special pays and benefits.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business, Public Administration, or a closely related field with 1 to 2 years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Processes pay change actions in the Human Capital Management (HCM) system; responsible for special and incentive pays to include Employee Referral Program, Hard-To-Fill and the Training Incentive Paramedic Program (TIPP).Administers the County’s Degree Reimbursement, Tuition Assistance and Certification Programs.Oversees the County’s Employee of the Quarter Program.Responsible for the distribution of County employees’ service awards and probationary employee evaluations. Reviews and processes Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) claims and employment verifications. Experience using Tyler Munis and NEOGOV preferred.Requires thorough knowledge of writing, grammar, proofreading, and a high level of attention to detail.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
