Position: Phlebotomist - Full Time (FT)
Department: Laboratory
Reports to: Director, Laboratory

What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform venous and capillary phlebotomy.
- Schedule patients and perform specialized tests like lactose/glucose tolerance, paternity collections, urine drug screens, and breath alcohol tests.
- Provide clear, compassionate instructions to patients about test preparations, fasting requirements, and specimen collections.
- Monitor the Reference Laboratory Result Work queue and follow up on pending results over five days.
- Handle incoming calls professionally, take accurate verbal orders, and ensure proper documentation of diagnoses before testing.
- Utilize automated systems to access, enter, and edit patient information efficiently.
What You Bring:
- A basic understanding of laboratory processes and medical terminology
- The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
