Position Title: Specialty Clinic Scheduler - Full Time (FT)

Reports to: Specialty Clinic, Director
Nature of Work
York General is looking for a full time, day shift scheduler for our Specialty Clinic. If you are organized, a great multi-tasker, and love to greet our patients and visitors, this is a great opportunity for you!

- Patient-focused: Build rapport with patients as they seek specialty provider care close to home. Our 70 rotating providers come into York General to see over 1,200 patients per month in our facility.
What You'll Do
- Handle the scheduling and reception of the Specialty Clinic patient visits, prepare the schedule for each provider's clinic, and assist with preparation for patient visits.
- Greet the public and direct them to their appropriate destination or their questions to the appropriate staff, provide general customer service to the public, patients, and their families.
- Answers all phone calls coming into the Specialty Clinic utilizing good communication skills.
- Communicates with physician offices as needed to obtain scheduling information and any additional information required for specific provider clinics.
- Notifies patients of their appointment times and instructs them regarding lab or other diagnostic work required prior to their appointments and any information they are to bring with them to their appointments.
What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clinical training or experience is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
