Position Title: Child Care Teacher - Full Time (FT) and Regular Part Time (RPT)

What You'll Do
- This position is responsible for planning and assisting with child care activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
- Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, specialized programs, and the redirection of children. Communicates directly with parents.
- Serve meals and performs cleaning duties as outlined in departmental procedures.
- Guide children toward positive behavior in accordance with the policies of the York General Child Care program. Maintain positive communication with staff, families, and children.
- Comply with all state licensing regulations regarding the care of children.
What You Need
- Experience with children required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be of good morale character and demonstrate a caring concern for children and the ability to develop rapport with them.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education and development is preferred.
- Applicants without 1500 verified clock hours of experience in organized group activities for young children are required to complete three credit hours or 45 clock hours of training in the area of early childhood development, as per NDE approval, within 6 months of employment.
- This position requires Infant and Child CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Applicants must submit fingerprints for a national criminal history record check before beginning employment.
