York Middle School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic coach to lead our Middle School Boys Lacrosse team for the Spring 2025 season.
Responsibilities:
•Plan and conduct daily practices, including skill development, strategy instruction, and conditioning.
•Develop and implement game strategies and game plans.
•Motivate and inspire players to achieve their full potential.
•Teach and enforce proper sportsmanship and team values.
•Manage equipment and inventory.
•Attend coaches' meetings and other required meetings.
•Maintain accurate records of player attendance and performance.
•Supervise and ensure the safety of players during practices and games.
•Build and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, and school administrators.
•Adhere to all school and league rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
•Experience coaching lacrosse at the middle school or youth level preferred.
•Knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategies, and techniques.
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work effectively with young athletes.
•Passion for lacrosse and a commitment to player development.
•First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
•Background check required.
