• Attends various staff meetings to provide input and receive information regarding the library and reference needs of the school.
• Coordinates request of individuals and/or sites (e.g., technical support, equipment requirements) to ensure availability of audio visual equipment for instructional use.
• Develops library media resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students and staff.
• Directs media instructional assistant in providing orientation, training and ensuring assignments are completed appropriately.
• Duplicates audio and video tapes to maintain an appropriate inventory for internal distribution.
• Evaluates media equipment to ensure repairs, provision of technical support and diagnosing malfunctions and/or recommending acquisitions.
• Instructs students to educate them on the proper use of the media center resources (e.g., classification system, use of equipment, care of materials).
• Monitors activities of media center to maintain appropriate working atmosphere.
• Operates a variety of media production equipment and systems (e.g., program channel, video tape, edit media, duplicate media) to provide media production services.
• Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing supporting information and conveying information to others of their actions.
• Responds to inquires by providing information and/or direction.
• Performs other related duties as may be required to support the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
