The ideal York Apprentice is a highly motivated, hands-on individual who is eager to learn and excited about contributing to the assembly and test of real space hardware. Apprentices work directly with experienced technicians and engineers to support the integration of spacecraft and ground support equipment. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in the space industry through hands-on work with high-impact systems. Successful candidates will be adaptable, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about space and hardware.

Responsibilities
- Support the build and test of flight and test harnesses for spacecraft and ground equipment
- Assist with the installation and setup of data acquisition and telemetry systems
- Participate in the assembly, integration, and inspection of mechanical and electrical systems
- Work alongside engineering teams to build spacecraft, GSE, and test equipment
- Learn to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Contribute to troubleshooting efforts during hardware integration
- Maintain organized workspaces and adhere to safety protocols
- Enrollment in (or recent graduate of) a degree program in engineering, physics, or a technical field
- Must have completed at least Freshman year of the degree program
- Available to work full-time on-site in Denver, CO (40 hours/week)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
- Comfortable working with hand tools and technical equipment
- Demonstrated interest in spacecraft, systems integration, or hands-on engineering
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
- Familiarity with soldering, crimping, or basic electronics assembly
- Experience working in a lab, makerspace, or technical environment
- Interest in a future full-time role at York Space Systems
