The IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, managing ticket requests, assisting with ongoing projects, and implementing process documentation. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to customers for computer hardware and software issues.
- Manage and resolve ticket requests in Jira, escalating to TierII/Tier III support when necessary.
- Maintain and administer internal infrastructure requirements including laptops, desktops, servers, printers, phones and other IT assets.
- Support and administer Microsoft technologies, Intune, and virtual environments.
- Create and document best practices and support procedures.
- Offer after-hours and weekend support for emergencies as needed.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
- Carry out special tasks as directed by management.
- Support mobile devices, specifically iPhones.
- Work schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft A , Network , or similar).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in documentation.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with project management capabilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Experience in Jira Service Management.
- Knowledge in Active Directory/SAML user and group administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune.
