Part-Time Bookkeeper (Nonprofit)
Location: Remote
Compensation: $25 per hour, up to 20 hours per month
Schedule: Flexible within standard business hours

About Us
Young Adults with Epilepsy is dedicated to supporting young adults with epilepsy through advocacy, education, and community programs. We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our financial operations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities:
QuickBooks Management – Maintain accurate financial records and prepare journal entries for Treasurer’s review
Invoice Processing – Review contractor invoices, prepare summaries for Treasurer approval, and ensure timely payments.
Accounts Payable & Receivable – Track incoming donations and outgoing expenses.
Bank Reconciliations – Ensure transactions align with bank statements.
Financial Reporting – Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial summaries.
Budget Monitoring – Track expenses against the organization's budget.
Grant & Donation Tracking – Properly record restricted and unrestricted funds.
Compliance Support – Help maintain nonprofit financial documentation for audits and tax filings.
Qualifications:
Experience in bookkeeping (2 years preferred), ideally in a nonprofit setting
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online preferred)
Understanding of nonprofit financial management (fund accounting, 501(c)(3) compliance, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in financial matters
Effective communication skills to liaise with the Treasurer and leadership
