The Warranty Administrator will be responsible for verifying warranty coverage, submitting claims to manufacturers, and ensuring timely reimbursement. Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers
- Reports to work on-time and as scheduled
- Maintains a good driving record and is considered “insurable” by our auto insurance carrier
- Communicates with internal and external customers in a respectful and courteous manner at all times
- Completes all manufacturer training for all manufacturers
- Processes warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor
- Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation
- Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor
- Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule
- Posts credits on computer
- Resubmits all rejected claims promptly
- Follows up on payment of outstanding claims
- Arranges for parts to be shipped to factory or distributor or to be scrapped
- Tracks progress of warranty parts returned to manufacturer in the time specified on the request memorandum
- Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor
- Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins
- Assists with body shop warranty claims as needed
- Provides oversight and leadership and ensures processes are followed to ensure data reliability
- Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- You must have a history of successful employment with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is a huge plus
- Knowledge of ADP and Excel is a huge plus
- A desire to learn and grow with a great company
- A valid Driver’s License and good driving record
- Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
