What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant/Front Desk Floater position at Young Dental Group?
We are a private family dental practice with the mission to create a comfortable environment and provide excellent oral care for our community. We see patients of all ages and focus heavily on prevention and education.

Objectives:
- Creating a caring and comfortable environment for patients
- Supporting the success of the entire dental team
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor while assisting patients in any capacity
- Chairside assisting
- Proficient in taking x-rays, 3D scans, and photographic records
- Setting up up and breaking down of operatories
- Sterilizing equipment
- Efficiently up-keeping of the clinical area
- Maintaining clinician schedules & maximizing productivity
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Verifying dental insurance
- Presenting treatment plans
- Collecting and recording payments
- Room for growth
Requirements:
- Current x-ray license
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Has taken 8-hr Infection Control and 2-hr California Practice Act Courses
- Willingness to obtain or renew these certifications within one (1) month of employment, if not current
- Excellent written and verbal English and communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable and proactive
- Attention to detail
- QUICK and able to multi-task in a face paced environment
- Positive energy and enthusiastic about patient AND team care
The office is open four days a week, Tuesday through Friday, from 7AM - 6PM.
Every weekend is a three day weekend!
Compensation will be based on experience and skill with room for growth.
