Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sports & Ropes Course Specialist to join our team. This role involves leading a variety of sports activities while also managing our ropes course, which includes a high ropes tower and a low ropes four-point course. The ideal candidate loves working with kids, ensures safety at all times, and fosters an engaging and active environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sports activities such as soccer, kickball, and other recreational games.
- Oversee and manage the ropes course, ensuring proper safety checks and equipment inspections before use.
- Encourage counselors to actively participate and engage campers in activities.
- Provide instruction and guidance to campers on both the high ropes tower and low ropes course.
- Ensure all activities are inclusive, fun, and developmentally appropriate.
- Collaborate with other camp staff to create a dynamic and supportive camp experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a camp, sports, or recreation setting.
- Background in sports, physical education, outdoor adventure, or ropes course facilitation is a plus.
- Ability to lead and manage groups in both sports and outdoor adventure activities.
- Comfortable with heights and willing to be trained in ropes course safety and facilitation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
