Summary:
The Social Media Specialist I is responsible for executing and optimizing social media strategies to increase engagement, audience growth, and brand awareness across the United States and Canada. This role involves creating high-quality content, analyzing performance data, and collaborating with various teams to ensure cohesive digital marketing efforts.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of content marketing, social media analytics, paid social media campaigns, and user-generated content (UGC). Candidates must be able to develop and produce original UGC content that aligns with the brand’s identity, driving engagement and authenticity.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and manage content calendars for multiple social media platforms.
· Develop and produce original UGC content to build an authentic brand presence, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and brand-aligned social media assets.
· Create engaging social media content, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and copywriting.
· Write and optimize blog content to complement social media campaigns, drive traffic, and enhance SEO.
· Edit and refine video content for social media using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and other editing software.
· Use Adobe Photoshop to edit, enhance, and manipulate images in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality visual content that aligns with brand aesthetics.
· Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement.
· Optimize posts based on audience insights and engagement data.
· Collaborate with internal teams and Brand Partners to enhance digital presence.
· Stay updated on industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging social platforms.
· Manage and optimize social media accounts across the US and Canada.
Required Education & Experience
· Associate degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
· 1-3 years of experience managing brand social media accounts, creating campaigns, writing blogs, and analyzing performance data.
· Experience developing and producing UGC content is strongly preferred.
· Proven portfolio demonstrating social media content creation, blog writing, UGC development, and campaign execution.
· Strong professional presence on social media platforms showcasing content skills
Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in social media management, content marketing, blogging, or digital advertising.
- Proven track record in successfully creating and leveraging UGC-driven strategies.
- Certifications in Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, Content Creation, or Blogging (e.g., Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate, Google Ads Certification, HubSpot Content Marketing Certification, Adobe Certified Professional) are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Strong understanding of digital marketing, UGC strategies, social media analytics, and audience engagement strategies.
· Proficiency with social media management tools (Emplifi, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
· Experience with writing and managing blog content for marketing purposes, including SEO optimization.
· Experience with video editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Canva.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as a laptop, desktop, smartphone, and photocopiers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential oils are worn and/or diffused in the work environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position requires the incumbent to be physically present at the assigned worksite. The regular schedule is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Employees are also expected to work at least one non-convention farm event a year and to work at the annual company convention.
Exact hour requirements can be reasonably modified as necessary for the business needs by the employee’s manager.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities of this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to type, file, and occasionally lift office supplies up to 20 pounds. The employee must be physically able to tolerate the scent of essential oils worn or diffused.
