The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is currently accepting applications for Summer Camp Coordinator - Childcare
The Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for the safe, organized and developmentally appropriate functioning of the Childcare Summer Camp Program. This role will include the planning and implementing of positive and engaging activity plans; as well as assuring a fun, safe, and engaging summer camp experience for all camp participants. In addition, will be responsible for the supervision of a staff team.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of campers.
- Supports the training and development of camp counselors.
- Responsible for knowledge of all assigned campers’ special needs, medical notes, and communicates them to the staff team as necessary.
- Responsible for the supervision of staff and staff specialists.
- Arrives on-time and ready to perform their function.
- Acknowledges different learning styles and meets the needs of campers.
- Develops strong relationships with children, parents and families through communication and actions.
Hours: Mon-Fri; 8:30am to 4:30pm - Summer Camp Season: June 30th thru August 22nd.
Pay: $19 - $21 per hour

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and planning activities.
- Desire and willingness to work with children.
- Experience supervising a staff team.
- Must have a pleasant personality and good communication skills.
