Job Summary:
The Inventory/Warehouse Associate tracks and manages car and truck part inventory within the yard and warehouse. This role emphasizes accuracy, control, monitoring, and coordination to ensure inventory integrity and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, the associate will assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of car and truck part inventory.
- Ensure accurate identification and location of all parts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with Inventory Control.
- Report any damaged parts and manage appropriate documentation.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Aim for 100% on-time delivery while maintaining accuracy in order picking.
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
- Assist with receiving shipments, including unloading and inspection.
- Support other warehouse duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of auto and truck parts is essential.
- Previous experience with cycle counting is preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse environment.
Skills and Requirements:
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to communicate effectively.
- This position involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions in the yard and warehouse.
- Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment as required.
