The Audit Compliance Coordinator will play a key role in assisting YHB with the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services. This entry-to-mid-level position focuses on ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards while supporting the execution of financial audits and risk management procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Quality

Assist in planning, conducting, and completing financial statement audits.
Perform substantive testing, control testing, and analytical procedures to verify accuracy and compliance.
Document audit findings, variances, and key observations in compliance with professional standards (GAAS, GAAP, or PCAOB).
Ensure that audits comply with regulatory standards such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), SEC, and PCAOB requirements.
Support the identification of compliance risks and suggest recommendations for improvements.
Assist with updating and monitoring internal compliance policies and frameworks.
Prepare detailed audit workpapers that align with firm and professional standards.
Draft sections of audit reports under the guidance of senior team members.
Maintain organized and complete documentation for compliance reviews.

Professionalism & Service Excellence

Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial and operational data.

Address client queries professionally and provide clear explanations of audit procedures.

Maintain a professional demeanor and build trust through timely and accurate communication.

Team Collaboration & Development

Draft comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, implications, and recommendations for improvements.

Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and audit strategies.

Engage in ongoing training and development programs to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.

Education, Experience, & Other Requirements

Associate's degree in Business, or previous work experience in regulatory compliance while working with a financial institution.

Working toward CPA certification is strongly preferred.

0–2 years of experience in auditing, public accounting, or compliance roles.

Internship experience in public accounting is a plus.

Familiarity with auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Basic understanding of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and auditing principles (GAAS).

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.
