The Case Opener will be responsible for handling the intake and opening of new cases, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with attorneys and staff to ensure a seamless workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open new client matters in the firm’s case management system, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and processed.
- Review and verify client intake forms, retainer agreements, and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Input and maintain client information in the firm’s database, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with firm policies.
- Communicate with clients to gather any missing information or clarify details related to their case.
- Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure all case materials are properly organized and accessible.
- Ensure compliance with firm procedures and legal requirements when opening new matters.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to case initiation, including scanning, filing, and document preparation.
- Work collaboratively with the intake and legal teams to improve efficiency in case management processes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and data entry skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus).
