The role of the Director at Your Journey Nursery & Preschool is to help ensure that the our children and families have a safe and nurturing environment. We aim to build loving and trusting relationships and give children access to a wide range of experiences.
Center of 68 children infants through school age
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Bachelors Degree in any field and a 90 hour clock certificate or a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or in related field.
- 2-4 years of Assistant Director or Director in a licensed child care facility
- Infant, Toddler or Preschool teaching and classroom experience
- Must meet all state qualifications for classroom teaching positions and maintain state in-service requirements
- Strong background in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and budget management
- Must have great language and literacy skills and be able to manage social media as well as written communications
- Responsible for overseeing all preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations
- A proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining staff
- Have a genuine passion for children and a strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community
- Absolutely must be energetic, upbeat, and personable
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Meets with parents, staff, and administration and attends staff meetings and other events as needed/requested
- Develops, documents and maintains a variety of fun and educational programs for children and families year round
- Highly professional and dependable
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
