Supervisory experience required.RESPONSIBILITIESScheduling and dispatching drivers to customer locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or immediate needsSpeaking with plant management or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipmentPreparing daily work such as schedules, loads, paperwork, etc...Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requestions and expensesEnsure timely arrival to customer locations on schedule and on-site tasks are completed to customer expectationsUpkeep driver manual, which outlines driver's proceduresResearch and plan for traffic, construction and weather delaysFleet upkeep for both exterior and interior of company vehiclesMaintaining needed documentation: daily trip logs (electronic), driver pickup and delivery manifests, safety/accident, fuel logs, mileage records and repair records are up to dateSafety and driver awareness training and conduct driver ride alongs to assess safe driving practicesAddress delivery issues that may occur at the plant, in transit and at the customersEnsure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet our customer requirementsEnsure driving team maintains a level of professionalism at all times with our customersAssess work performance of their drivers and identifying areas that need improvementTraining and onboarding new hires to make sure they understand their roles and company proceduresInteract with clients professionally at all timesCover driver vacationsUsing telephones, email or text messages to contact employeesAssist with special projects as neededQUALIFICATIONSMust have a stable work history with 2 years of Route Sales Delivery experienceMust have strong communication skills, verbal and writtenMust be able to load, push, pull, and lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to pass the required drug test and background checksMust have an excellent driving recordMust have a valid drivers licenseBENEFITSGroup benefits package (Medical, Dental, Short Term Disability, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401k with a generous company matchPaid VacationCompetitive wagesWork in a positive culture where people are recognized and make a differenceCOMPANY DESCRIPTIONWheeling Linen Service is a linen rental supply and commercial laundry company.
